The Operations Engineer is responsible for driving manufacturing efficiency, cost reduction and process stability through engineering principles, Lean methodologies and data driven analysis. This role works closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Product Engineering teams to optimize workflows, improve productivity and support sustainable operational excellence.
Task Profile
1. Analyze end-to-end manufacturing processes to identify waste, inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
2. Lead and support continuous improvement initiative.
3. Drive productivity improvement.
4. Conduct time studies, capacity analysis and line balancing to establish and sustain production standards.
5. Support new product introduction (NPI) and line transfers with engineering readiness and feasibility assessments.
6. Analyze operational data such as efficiency, cycle time, scrap, labor hours and throughput.
7. Track, validate and report saving from productivity, labour, material and scrap reduction initiatives.
8. Work with Quality and Production teams to eliminate / reduce defects and improve process capability.
9. Conduct structured problem-solving activities using 8D, A3 and 5-Why RCA methodologies.
10. Ensure processes comply with Safety, ergonomic and regulatory requirements.
11. Support and maintain BOM, Routing and production master data in SAP ERP.
12. Update and maintain Standardized Work, OBC and capacity documentation.
13. Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Product Engineering teams to achieve operational targets.
Skills/Abilities:

Education/Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering or any related discipline.
2. 3 5 years of experience in manufacturing or operation engineering.
3. Hands-on experience applying industrial engineering and lean manufacturing principles in production environment.
4. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
5. Experience with SAP ERP (BOM, Routing and Production Data)
6. Strong analytical, problem solving and execution skills.
7. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
8. Proficiency in CAD software and data analysis tools is an added advantage.
