Job title: Engineer, Process (MY)

Location: Malaysia - Penang

Job Summary:

The Engineer, Process supports the development, optimization, and sustaining of Middle-of-Line (MOL) manufacturing processes for optical engine and module assembly. The role also provides exposure to Front-of-Line (FOL) semiconductor assembly processes to support process integration, yield improvement, and manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support and sustain MOL assembly processes such as dispensing, reflow, soldering, component attach, and pick-and-place operations.
2. Assist in process optimization activities to improve yield, quality, cycle time, and manufacturing efficiency.
3. Perform basic process troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production and quality issues using tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and FMEA.
4. Monitor process performance using SPC data and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
5. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities including engineering builds, process setup, documentation, and production ramp-up.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Equipment, and Supply Chain to resolve process-related issues.
7. Prepare and maintain process documentation such as work instructions, process flow diagrams, control plans, and engineering reports.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials, or related Engineering field.
2. 1-2 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics, precision manufacturing, or related industries. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
3. Basic understanding of semiconductor assembly or manufacturing processes such as dispensing, die attach, bonding, reflow, or SMT processes.
4. Familiarity with engineering and problem-solving tools such as DOE, SPC, FMEA, 8D, or data analysis methods.
5. Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
