Job Description

Job Duties:

  1. To be part of Technical Safety and Assurance team in providing technical safety / loss prevention engineering support to Extended Pre-Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Floating Carbon Storage and Injection Unit (FCSIU) Project.
  2. To support in developing internal technical safety / loss prevention deliverables such as Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) and Fire and Gas (F&G ) philosophy, Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) schedule and layouts, Toxic Area Classification layouts, Safety, Evacuation and Muster Plan (SEMP) and Fire Control Plan (FCP).
  3. To assist Lead / Senior Technical Safety and Assurance Engineer in reviewing safety studies reports produced by the Third-Party Safety Consultant(s) such as Coarse Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) Study report and Fire and Explosion Hazard Analysis (FEHA) report.
  4. To joint-coordinate, participate and provide valuable inputs in the scheduled risk assessment workshops such as Coarse Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) Study, Coarse Hazard Identification (HAZID) Study and Cryogenic Risk Assessment (CRA) as and when required.
  5. To manage and be accountable for the given tasks, as delegated by the Lead /Senior Technical Safety and Assurance Engineer.
  6. To ensure that all produced deliverables are of good quality and address COMPANY expectations while adhering to the Project, Technical Safety and Assurance Department Working Procedure, and other relevant procedure requirements.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical or other engineering disciplines.
  2. Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
  3. Minimum 4-5 years experience in upstream oil and gas development projects with hands-on experience in development of technical safety / loss prevention engineering deliverables in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), cryogenic or low-temperature service projects are an added advantage.
  4. Familiar with international legislation and regulations, i.e. IMO, UK HSE, etc.
  5. Familiar with Classification Society rules and guidelines, international oil and gas design codes and standards, i.e. API, ISO, NFPA, SIGTTO, ISGOTT, etc.
  6. Capable of undertaking and generating typical technical safety / loss prevention engineering activities and deliverables.
  7. Experienced in floating CCS facility design with cryogenic or low-temperature services is preferred.
  8. Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Reader or Acrobat.
  9. Demonstrate good leadership and communication skills.
  10. Able to work independently, self-motivated with a positive working attitude.
  11. Initiative, proactive, flexible, and adaptive.
  12. Good problem-solving skills with effective inter-discipline coordination.
