We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Lead to help design and build the core platform.
This role combines technical leadership with active development. You'll be responsible for shaping the architecture, making key technical decisions, and building the initial engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of the wallet backend and infrastructure, focusing on high availability and high-grade security.
- Define system architecture and make key technical decisions
- Build and maintain core wallet services and APIs (be a primary individual contributor to core services, APIs, and ledger-based architectures.)
- Set up and manage backend infrastructure and services
- Work closely with product to define the technical roadmap
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a lean, high-velocity team of backend and mobile engineers
- Maintain high standards for code quality, reliability, and security
- Implement industry-leading standards for private key management (HSM/MPC) and transaction atomicity.
Requirements
- 7-15+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong backend engineering background
- Experience designing production systems and APIs
- Web3 / crypto experience (wallets, blockchain integrations, or similar)
- Comfortable working hands-on in a startup environment
- Experience with security best practices (key management, HSMs, or MPC)
- Experience with financial systems or ledger-based architectures.
- Experience with one or more of: Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Rust

- Mobile development exposure
- Infrastructure experience (Kubernetes, Terraform, GCP, AWS or similar)
- Wallet infrastructure experience
- Interest in AI / AI tooling
