Ansell is looking for Manager Engineering to be based in Seremban, Malaysia. This position is responsible to oversee all Engineering activities on site. To ensure all plant equipment and buildings are maintained in a safe, efficient, and high-quality manner. Ensure the Engineering Department has adequately trained and skilled personnel to carry out their responsibilities and to consistently improve the quality of engineering work. To develop, plan and control Engineering budget to within the approved budget. To ensure that all Engineering Projects are carried out in a timely and effective manner.

What your role will be in details
Reporting to the Director Plant, you will:
- To lead a team of Engineers/ Technicians to support all Engineering works.
- Support planning and projects implementation.
- Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
- Participate in recruitment of competent and skilled employees. Assign, direct, evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
- Work closely with supplier on machine designs and services.
- Prepare SOP and preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment and machineries.
- Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department, service, laboratory or firm.
- Continuous improvement and development programs must be implemented on plant equipment and machinery.
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
- To be an active member of the Safety Committee and actively maintain and develop safety standards in the Engineering Department
What will you bring
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering and having related working experience
- Hands on experience in a similar capacity in the manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to tackle mechanical and electrical problems promptly and effectively.
- Able to do mechanical drawings preferably.
- Knowledge in SCADA/PLC/DCS system is preferable.
- Works independently as well as within a team.
- Strong leadership qualities, self-motivated and able to lead a team of Engineering staff in
meeting daily target.
- Mature and analytical with strong leadership qualities and people management and
interactive skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skill.
