Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and refine manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Identify bottlenecks and develop solutions for cost reduction and waste elimination.
  • Apply lean, six sigma or other improvement methodologies to streamline workflows
  • Manage and mentor engineers and staff, building technical and problem solving capabilities
  • Provide training on process improvement tools and methodologies
  • Foster a culture of accountability and innovation
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing/operations processes for efficiency, cost and quality
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement lean/Six sigma improvement
  • Standardize workflows to ensure repeatability and scalability
  • Drive Kaizen, value stream mapping and other improvement initiatives
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement across departments
  • Prioritize projects based on ROI, risk, and strategic alignment
  • Collect and analyze production data, KPIs and quality metrics
  • Use statistical tools (SPC, Gage R&R, Kappa analysis) to validate improvements
  • Report findings to senior leadership with actionable recommendations
  • Partner with production, quality, supply chain and R&D teams
  • Align process improvement with product development and customer requirement
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non technical stakeholders
  • Ensure processes meet ISO, OSHA and industry-specific regulations
  • Maintain documentation (SOPs, work instructions, control plan)
  • Audit processes to ensure adherence to standards
  • Lead and mentor engineers and technician in improvement methodologies
  • Provide training on lean tools, problem solving, and statistical analysis
  • Build a pipeline of future leaders in process improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Master's degree or MBA (prefer)
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing cable assembly, semiconductor industry and 2 years in management role
  • Hands on experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, quality control systems, safety.
