Engineering Manager

A rapidly growing FinTech company based in the US is on the hunt for an Engineering Manager for India location, who is looking for someone with solid experience in developing products for web and mobile applications, along with a strong background in people management—ideally between 2 to 5 years. This role is fully remote!

Responsibilities:

You'll be responsible for recruiting, nurturing, and empowering a team of passionate engineers who have high expectations for ownership, impact, and technical excellence.

You'll help foster a collaborative culture that reflects our core values: being passionate about our customers, fearless in overcoming challenges, and driven by data.

Working closely with your team, you'll develop a thoughtful, long-term technical strategy that not only anticipates future needs but also addresses what's necessary today.

You'll also be a hands-on technical contributor and mentor for your team, ready to dive into technical work when needed.

You will collaborate with other engineering managers and functional leads to set ambitious goals and direction for your team, the engineering department, and the company as a whole.

Qualifications:

You should have between 2 to 5 years of engineering management experience, preferably in a well-established tech firm or a fast-growing startup.

A strong background as a software engineer is essential, ideally across various organizations, industries, and technology stacks.

We're looking for someone with a proven track record of mentorship and helping others grow in their careers.

Experience and enthusiasm for recruiting, along with a thoughtful approach to team development, are key.

Technical Background:

You should have strong coding experience with Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Java, Python, or Golang.

Experience with NoSQL, MySQL, T-SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or any other RDBMS is important.

Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure is a plus.
