Engineering Manager - Flutter Lead

Role Overview:

As a Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and

delivering high-quality crossplatform mobile applications. You will lead a team of Flutter

developers, collaborate closely with backend engineers and UI/UX designers, and ensure

the delivery of scalable, maintainable, and performance-driven mobile solutions. Your

role will involve setting coding standards, conducting code reviews, and driving

innovation through the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and development of high-performance Flutter

applications.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to define technical

requirements and translate them into robust mobile solutions.

• Establish and enforce best practices for coding, architecture, and testing within the

mobile development team.

• Conduct detailed code reviews, provide technical mentorship, and guide junior

developers.

• Own the delivery, performance optimization, and deployment of Flutter applications.

• Continuously evaluate and implement new tools, libraries, and technologies to

improve development efficiency and product quality.

• Ensure adherence to design specifications and maintain consistency across all

development stages.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to architectural discussions

and decisions.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

experience.

• 8+ years of experience in mobile development, with at least 3+ years of hands-on

experience in Flutter and Dart.

• Led a team of Flutter developers; delivered Flutter projects end-to-end from scratch

with strong cross-functional collaboration.

• Strong understanding of state management (Provider, Riverpod, BloC/Cubit, etc.) and

modern design patterns.

• Proven experience in application architecture design, performance tuning, and

modular app structures.

• Solid experience in automated testing, CI/CD integration, and mobile app deployment.

• Strong knowledge of native mobile development (Android/iOS) and database

technologies like SQLite or NoSQL.

Preferred Skills

• Proficient in Dart and the Flutter framework; familiarity with Kotlin, Swift, and Java is a

plus.

• Experience integrating mobile CI/CD pipelines using tools like Fastlane.

• Expertise in writing Bloc/widget/integration tests and setting up test frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with Git, SVN, or other version control tools.

• Strong understanding of Material Design principles and UI/UX best practices.

• Experience leading teams in an Agile development environment.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
