Lead and scale high-performing engineering teams across a mixed-technology digital environment, with a strong focus on delivery efficiency, team effectiveness, and platform sustainability.
As an Engineering Manager, you will manage a small tribe of cross-functional pods delivering outcomes across Dynamics 365, Node.js services, and a modern cloud-native stack. This role is focused on optimising delivery, uplifting engineering maturity, and enabling teams to operate efficiently across multiple product and capability areas.
This is a people- and delivery-first leadership role, balancing team leadership, delivery oversight, and technical direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a tribe of multiple agile pods, ensuring efficient delivery across a hybrid technology stack including Dynamics 365, Node.js services, and cloud-native platforms.
- Drive delivery efficiency and operational excellence, improving flow, reducing dependencies, and ensuring teams consistently meet outcomes, quality, and reliability expectations.
- Provide people leadership across Engineering Leads and Engineers, including coaching, performance management, capability uplift, succession planning, and career development.
- Partner with Architecture and Product leadership to shape technical direction, manage cross-platform dependencies, and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and long-term strategy.
- Enable strong engineering ways of working, including CI/CD discipline, automation, testing, observability, and sustainable on call/support models.
- Act as a servant leader for your teams by removing delivery blockers, improving tooling and processes, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and ownership.
- Oversee platform health and delivery across supported systems (including Dynamics 365 and integrations), ensuring stability, scalability, and supportability, without being limited to a single technology domain.
About You
- 5+ years experience as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead.
- Strong people leadership and delivery management experience.
- Technical breadth across Node.js, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems (Dynamics 365 exposure beneficial).
- Experience leading multiple agile pods or streams.
