Key Responsibilities
Deliver engineering support and assist the marketing team in retaining existing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities within the shipbuilding division.
Support commercial newbuild and ship repair teams during tender exercises for newbuilding and conversion projects.
Assess contract terms, technical specifications, and equipment requirements to ensure alignment with design obligations.
Develop initial design concepts that support newbuilding tender submissions.
Establish drawing schedules and coordinate technical meetings with clients, classification societies, designers, vendors, and system integrators.
Implement design and engineering production plans for awarded newbuilding projects.
Interpret classification rules and maritime regulations review and understand design drawings.
Collaborate effectively within a team while also handling tasks independently.
Requirements
Polytechnic Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a closely related field.
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in the marine or offshore sectors.
Sound understanding of shipbuilding processes and project workflows capable of reviewing technical specifications and engaging in client discussions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
Willingness to travel overseas (e.g., Indonesia, Taiwan, and other countries) for technical meetings.
