Client Background: MNC Company Industry : Manufacturing Location: Johor Bahru, Johor Headcount: 1 Position Title: Engineering Project Manager Tenure: Permanent Remuneration: RM8,000 - RM13,000 Responsibilities Project Planning and Execution: - Develop detailed project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, product cost targets and scope.
- Coordinate resources, define work packages, manage budgets, and track project risks and issues.
- Execute each step of the project, from inception to delivery.
- Monitor and control project scope. Document scope changes and identify impacts on timelines, budget, and quality.
. Stakeholder Management: - Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Define project responsibilities and allocate resources effectively.
- Foster a work culture that supports individual differences and maximizes team performance.
. Risk Mitigation and Quality Assurance: - Identify, analyze, and proactively respond to project, financial, and operational risks.
- Implement continuous improvement programs and best practices.
- Ensure quality goals are met throughout project execution.
. Supplier and Vendor Relationships and Contract Negotiations: - Manage supplier and vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and vendor selection processes.
- Handle maintenance, support, and renewal solutions.
. Travel: Occasional travel to client sites, vendor locations, or customer installations is required.
Requirement - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, software or systems engineering, for instance)
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in project management
- Project Management Certification(s): CAPM, PMI-PMP, MPM, PPM, PRINCE2
- Demonstrated track record of leading technology-oriented projects that meet cost, schedule, and performance goals
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams in solving complex design and engineering problems
- Thorough understanding of gated product development life cycles
- Experience leading multi-disciplined technical project engineering teams
- Experience in estimating, creating, and actively managing project and program budgets
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously
- Familiarity with software, electrical, electronic, and mechanical design
- Familiar with international agency testing standards (ETL, CE, UL, UKCA, CSA, etc.)
- Familiarity with Agile product management and tools for structuring BOMs
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools such as MS Project, OnePlan, Jira, and Confluence
