Underwrite and monitor all technical underwriting processes and acceptance of Engineering & Bond Line of Business. Overall accountability for underwriting, renewal review and reporting activities that ensure full compliance with the company's Guidelines, corporate governance and other related legal and regulatory requirements.
Review and analyze new risks/or renewal in particular ie. Referral cases and exceeding business unit acceptance limits including conducting renewal reviews.
Analyze, control and manage retention including accumulation control based on underlying guidelines.
Provide professional and technical advice, guidance and support for Business Units and Head Office personnel in all aspects of underwriting.
Full involvement and undertake all duties including project involvement and enhancement
Support Asst Manager and Manager in department related matters including planning and compliance adherence.
Lead and/or contribute to product and system enhancement projects to support business growth.
Maintain an effective line of communication with Marketing, Underwriting and other departments to ensure smooth running of operations within the department
Performs special/ad-hoc projects and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Degree holder in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Economics or Insurance related such as AMII, ACII, AII and DMII.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in general Insurance Industry.
Strong expertise and knowledge in General Insurance industry.
Knowledge in underwriting Engineering & Bond line of business would be an added advantage.
Good communications skills - written & oral.
Must have good analytical and problem solving skill.
