Resiliency

The Resiliency Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining and governing the Group-wide resiliency reference architectures and target state, ensuring that business services, platforms, and data are designed for continuity, security, and regulatory compliance.

This role will ensure the Bank's resiliency posture meets business-critical recovery objectives (RTO/RPO) and regulatory mandates across ASEAN markets.

1. Resiliency Strategy & Target-State Architecture

Define the Group-wide resiliency target state architecture across business, application, data, and technology domains.

Establish reference architectures for disaster recovery, continuity, and crisis response.

Develop adoption roadmaps to strengthen resiliency posture across business-critical services.

Align Group resiliency architecture with standards, and regional regulatory guidance (e.g. BNM RMiT, MAS TRM, OJK MRTI & etc.).

2. Solution Architecture & Resiliency Patterns

Publish and govern solution patterns for high availability, failover, backup/recovery, and cyber resilience.

Provide assurance to the Architecture Review Board on resiliency in design.

Guide major programs in embedding resilience into architecture and delivery.

Ensure resilience considerations are included in observability, monitoring, and automation frameworks.

3. Enterprise Governance & Compliance

Drive compliance with regulator-mandated RTO/RPO objectives, recovery frameworks, and audit requirements.

Partner with Group Risk, Cybersecurity, and Business Continuity Management on resiliency risk assessments.

Define resiliency KPIs/OKRs and governance dashboards for Group leadership.

Support internal and external audits on resiliency readiness.

4. Resiliency Adoption & Leadership

Lead transformation programs to modernize disaster recovery and continuity capabilities.

Partner with CxO and executives (CIOs, CRO, COO, CTO) to influence strategy and investment.

Support in-country architects and delivery teams with frameworks and best practices.

Guide technology and delivery partners to achieve Group resiliency objectives.KPI / Success Measures

Develop and maintain the Group resiliency target state architecture, serving as the trusted EA for alignment with Group strategy.

% of critical workloads meeting or exceeding approved RTO/RPO standards.

% of solution designs conforming to Group resiliency reference architecture.

% reduction in resiliency gaps or risks identified in audits and risk assessments.

Positive regulatory and audit outcomes on resiliency compliance.

Demonstrated resilience architecture during crisis simulations or real-world incidents.Qualifications and Experience

15+ years of total IT/architecture experience, with 810+ years in resiliency, disaster recovery, and business continuity in FSI.

Demonstrated experience leading large-scale resiliency programs across critical platforms.

Strong CxO and executive engagement skills, able to influence at Board/ExCo level.

Proven track record in reference architectures, target state design, and resiliency assurance.Desired Skills and Competencies

Deep expertise in resiliency frameworks and tooling (disaster recovery orchestration, high availability, backup/restore automation).

Knowledge of hybrid and cloud-native resiliency models (Azure Site Recovery, AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery).

Strong familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance reporting.

Leadership presence to influence executives, regulators, and delivery teams alike.

Excellent communication and ability to represent the Bank at industry forums on resilience.
