Responsibilities

  • Brief on EHS Manual, EHS Procedures, and Safe Work Procedures to all relevant department as and when necessary.
  • Co-ordinate to ensure the audits are carried out on all departments regularly.
  • Ensure that all audits including internal and external are carried out and initiate appropriate actions for relevant departments to take corrective actions.
  • Review all outstanding non-conformance regularly to ensure that proposed corrective actions have been taken and the results are verified.
  • Provide advice on the training needs of Company Personnel in all matters concerning the proper and efficient working of the EHS Systems.
  • Managing new employee EHS induction.
  • Conduct Hazard/Environmental Aspects Identification, Risk Assessment and Determining Controls (H/EIRADC) with workers and contractors prior to the implementation of their works.
  • Perform investigations on accidents, incidents, near misses and report with recommendations for prevention to the EHS Officer and management.
  • Liaisons with customers, suppliers, contractors, government bodies and local authorities on all health & safety matters.
  • Inspect the workplaces to identify potential hazards, environmental pollutions and report the findings with recommendations for correction to HODs and EHS Officer.
  • Conduct health & safety induction training and tool box talk.
  • Ensure that the implementation of the ISO14001 & ISO45001 requirements are effectively carried out.
  • To promote and develop a high level of Health, Safety & Environmental awareness and commitment.
  • Ensure the EHS requirements of the workplace are met.
  • Adhere to safety and health rules and safe systems of work.
  • Wearing Personal Protection Equipment.

Job Requirement and Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Strong communication, training, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification in EHS (e.g., ASP, CSP, CHMM) is preferred.
  • Understand ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 requirements
  • Familiar with health, safety and environmental related acts and regulations
  • Register with DOSH
