Job Description
Responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of machining equipment and supporting systems. The role will lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshoot equipment issues, and drive continuous improvement to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for machining equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
- Support CNC machines, machining centers, automated equipment, and related production systems.
- Analyze equipment breakdowns and identify root causes using appropriate problem-solving tools.
- Develop and implement actions to reduce recurring equipment failures and unplanned downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance, downtime, maintenance history, and maintenance KPIs.
- Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to prioritize equipment repairs and minimize production disruption.
- Manage spare parts, maintenance materials, and critical equipment components.
- Work with equipment suppliers and contractors for troubleshooting, repair, servicing, and technical support.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and modification activities.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with company procedures and applicable standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation, and technical reports.
- Identify opportunities for equipment improvement, automation, and reliability enhancement.
- Support development and implementation of maintenance standards, checklists, and work instructions.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to maintenance technicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Typically 3–7 years of experience in equipment maintenance, manufacturing engineering, or industrial maintenance.
- Experience supporting CNC machines, machining equipment, automation, or high-volume manufacturing equipment is preferred.
- Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC/control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and equipment drawings.
- Experience working with equipment suppliers and external service providers.
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to support shift operations, breakdown response, or off-hours support when required
