Role Description The Event Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya, supporting the planning and execution of events from preparation through post-event wrap-up. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating event logistics, preparing materials and equipment, assisting with vendor and client communication, and supporting on-site setup, registration, and guest management. The role involves maintaining event documentation, updating schedules and checklists, and ensuring venues are prepared according to plans and safety requirements. The Event Assistant will work closely with the event management team to handle last-minute changes, provide responsive support during events, and contribute ideas to improve processes and guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with clients, guests, and vendors.
  • Event Planning and Event Management skills to support logistics, timelines, and on-site coordination.
  • Organization Skills to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and handle details under time pressure.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentation software).
  • Previous experience in events, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Relevant education or training in events, hospitality, communications, or a related field is an advantage.
