Position Overview
The Event Management Intern will gain hands-on experience in planning, coordinating, and executing events from start to finish. This role provides exposure to various aspects of event management, including logistics, budgeting, marketing, and on-site coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, creative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. The internship offers an opportunity to develop practical skills and understand the full lifecycle of events while working closely with the event management team.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Coordination
- Assist in planning and coordinating events, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
- Research venues, vendors, and suppliers to support event preparation.
- Help manage event logistics, including scheduling, equipment, and staffing requirements.
Marketing & Promotion Support
- Support marketing and promotional activities related to events.
- Assist in preparing materials and presentations for internal and client use.
On-Site Event Management
- Support on-site event operations, including setup, flow management, and troubleshooting.
- Assist in ensuring smooth execution and a seamless experience for attendees.
Post-Event Evaluation
- Assist in collecting feedback, analyzing event outcomes, and preparing post-event reports.
- Contribute ideas for improvements and enhancements for future events.
Learning Objectives

Qualifications & Skills
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or related fields. Relevant coursework or certifications are a plus.
- Basic financial and budgeting knowledge to assist with event costs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in Mandarin, English, and Malay.
- Creative, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
