We work very closely with our network partners in PR (ROOTS PR) and digital marketing (DEX) to drive the integrated strategies that we develop for our clients.

In a Nutshell:

The Activation Manager will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact regional corporate events, including but not limited to conferences, trade exhibitions, and business summits. You'll oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensure excellence in every detail, and serve as a key liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams. The role includes guiding junior team members by developing & upholding best practices to maintain high standards across all projects. This position is ideal for someone who takes strong ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to elevate the agency's event delivery.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate events such as conferences, trade exhibitions, corporate meetings, and summits.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial targets.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Oversee all logistics, including venue setup, AV/technical requirements, agenda, registration, accommodation, transportation, and catering.
  • Provide on-site event support, troubleshooting challenges in real-time and ensuring seamless execution.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, delegating tasks, reviewing work, and ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain event documentation including agendas, run sheets, floor plans, and post-event reports.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve internal SOPs and workflows to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability of event operations.
  • Lead client meetings and presentations, translating business objectives into actionable event plans.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and recommend improvements for future events to continuously raise standards.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or a related field with minimum 4 years working experience. Past experience in regional M.I.C.E events is highly desirable.
  • Have your own transportation and valid driving license.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong communicator, presenter and natural collaborator with internal and external stakeholders
  • Curious, proactive and always eager to learn and grow
  • Creative thinker with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Energized by challenges and thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Positive energy and a get things done mindset.
  • Proficient in G-Suite/MS Office; experience with event/ project management tools
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel for events.

Proficiency in English & Bahasa Malaysia, additional language proficiency would be a plus point!
