In a Nutshell:

The Events & Activation Manager will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact local and regional events, including B2B conferences, product launches, summits, and B2C activations. Provide strong leadership by guiding junior team members, fostering a high-performing team, and ensuring operational excellence across every project. Serve as the key liaison with clients, vendors, and internal teams, managing end-to-end delivery and ensuring flawless execution. Ideal for a proactive, hands-on manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about elevating event experiences regionally.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the planning and execution of various event types — B2B conferences, corporate meetings, summits, product launches, and B2C activations.
  • Manage event budgets, making strategic decisions to optimise costs and deliver high-quality experiences.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and smooth communication.
  • Oversee event logistics, incl. venue, manpower, creatives, AV, agenda, registration, accommodation, transportation, and catering, while delegating and empowering your team.
  • Provide on-site leadership, troubleshoot challenges in real-time, make critical decisions, and ensure flawless execution.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain event documentation including agendas, run sheets, floor plans, and post-event reports.
  • Lead client meetings and presentations, translating business objectives into actionable event strategies and proposing integrated solutions.
  • Develop and refine SOPs and workflows to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability across events.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and implement improvements to continuously raise standards.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or a related field with minimum 4 years working experience. Past experience in regional events or M.I.C.E events is highly desirable.
  • Have your own transportation and valid driving license.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong communicator, presenter and natural collaborator with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and guide teams while driving successful event outcomes.
  • Curious, proactive and always eager to learn and grow
  • Creative thinker with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Energized by challenges and thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Positive energy and a get things done mindset.
  • Proficient in G-Suite/MS Office; experience with event/ project management tools
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel for events.

Proficiency in English & Bahasa Malaysia, additional language proficiency would be a plus point!
