Vistra operates across two primary client groups:
- Vistra Funds Services (VFS) focuses on supporting Funds clients (Private Equity; Real Estate and Private Credit) through the delivery of Funds Administration; Investor Onboarding; AIFM; Depositary and similar offerings, and
- Vistra Global Solutions (VGS) which is focused on Corporate (and corporate like) clients through the delivery of such offerings as Company Incorporations; Legal Entity Management & Compliance services; Financial Accounting and Tax services and Payroll and Payments services.
As Vistra continues to scale its global delivery hubs and transitions toward a platformled, AIenabled operating model, enterprise architecture and engineering are no longer backoffice IT functions. They are strategic enablers of margin, risk control, operational resilience, and client experience.
Role Purpose
The EVP, IT Architecture & Engineering is accountable for defining and executing Vistra's enterprisewide technology architecture and engineering strategy, ensuring that platforms, systems, and integrations are secure, scalable, costeffective, and fit for a regulated global business.
This role:
- Owns Vistra's enterprise, cloud, data, integration, and security architecture,
- Ensures technology actively enables global delivery scale, automation, and AI adoption,
- Reduces fragmentation and technical debt across regions and service lines,
- Acts as a senior advisor to ExCo on technology risk, investment, and prioritisation.
It is a handson executive role with accountability for delivery, not just standards.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Strategy
- Define and own Vistra's global enterprise architecture framework, aligned to business strategy and operating model.
- Develop and maintain multiyear architecture roadmaps across applications, infrastructure, cloud, data, integration, and security.
- Lead global architecture governance, including approval, exception, and lifecycle management of technology standards.
- Produce highquality HLDs and reference architectures for core platforms and transformation themes.
Architecture & Engineering Domain Leadership
Provide integrated leadership across:
- Application Architecture: ERP, CRM, enterprise systems, regulated SaaS platforms.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Hybrid cloud, compute, storage, network, enduser services.
- Data & Analytics: Data platforms, pipelines, governance, transformation layers.
- Integration: API strategy, middleware, eventdriven and asynchronous architectures.
- Security Architecture: Zero trust, IAM, telemetry, AI guardrails, regulatory controls.
Digital & Platform Enablement
- Partner with Technology, Product, Operations, and Data leaders on major transformation programmes.
- Drive cloudfirst, platformcentric modernisation.
- Ensure solutions are modular, scalable, resilient, and costtransparent.
- Actively assess emerging technologies while preventing uncontrolled tech sprawl.
Governance, Risk & Technical Debt
- Establish global architecture principles, standards, and patterns.
- Lead architecture assurance for all major investments and programmes.
- Reduce technical debt through structured lifecycle management.
- Ensure compliance with global data, security, and regulatory requirements.
Executive & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to ExCo on technology strategy, tradeoffs, and risk.
- Translate business strategy into clear, executable technology blueprints.
- Align regional IT teams around a single architectural direction.
Team & Capability Building
- Build and lead a highperforming global architecture and engineering capability.
- Develop enterprise, domain, and solution architects across regions.
- Establish architecture communities of practice and shared design standards.
Vendor & Ecosystem Management
- Shape strategic relationships with key technology vendors and integrators.
- Influence enterprise agreements and architectural decisions.
- Ensure thirdparty solutions comply with Vistra architecture and security standards.

- Partner with Data & AI leadership to ensure architecture enables nonlinear scaling through automation and intelligence.
Experience & Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
- 15+ years experience in enterprise architecture and engineering leadership.
- 8+ years in senior enterprise or domain architecture roles.
- Proven success defining and executing enterprisewide architecture strategies in complex, global environments.
- Strong experience across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or equivalent).
- Deep expertise in enterprise applications, integration, and data platforms.
- Proven experience operating in regulated or risksensitive industries.
Preferred
- TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
- Experience leading largescale ERP or cloud transformation programmes.
- Experience building architecture capability in Global Capability Centres (GCCs) or shared services models.
