SALARY RANGE: RM4,000-RM6,000
Responsibilities:
The position is an Executive position at the Sarawak Campus. This position will report to the Manager, Academic Administration Office. This position will work closely with the Deans, Associate Deans, Head of Learning and Teaching Unit (LTU), and other staff within the University.
The responsibilities of this position include to:
- Conduct data management / validation on unit viability of programs offered;
- Digitalization of data populated from academic units on Big Data Analysis using Power BI & Power Query on Big Data Analysis;
- Design and populate students results to match the Program Objective and Unit Learning Outcome;
- Develop timely dashboards and reports for leadership, accreditation bodies, and operational planning; and
- Provide analytics on completion on time/graduate on time, workload distribution, and progression patterns.
It is anticipated that Sarawak Campus will expand rapidly and that the responsibilities and scope of the position will grow accordingly.
Qualifications and Criteria:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or relevant discipline from a recognized institution with at least three (3) years relevant work experience. Master's degree holder can be considered.
- Understanding of academic structures, student life cycle, and operational processes.
- Prior involvement in academic planning, accreditation, or quality assurance activities.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to handle more than one priority at a time.
- Strong communication skills, in written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive academic records.
- Collaboration & Service Orientation: Works effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their needs. And supports academic units with timely and responsive data solutions.
- Experience working with academic data, institutional reporting, business analytics, or similar functions.
- Knowledge in using Microsoft Office applications for reporting purposes.
- Experience in academic data handling or institutional reporting with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Big Data Analysis using Power BI & Power Query tools.
- Accountability in handling sensitive academic information responsibly upholds ethical standards in reporting and data usage.
