Job Purpose
Develop and conduct business development short and long term activities in line with Business and Services Division's overall strategic direction through identifying, evaluating and developing business opportunities, including, revenue generation initiatives, covering market, customer and product, with the aim to add value to the business and shareholders in realization of PRefChem corporate agenda.
Key Accountabilities
1) Business Opportunities
Conduct assessment on potential business opportunities covering market, customer and product through the established framework, procedures, relevant approaches and networking with stakeholders whilst ensuring continuous enhancement of the assessment in order to provide a comprehensive proposal and analysis to the management for decision making and with the aim to improve and increase the value to PRefChem.
2) Business Development and Growth
Support Section Head Business Development in identifying and developing new business opportunities through the established framework and relevant approaches (i.e. creatively exploring opportunity of new project , asses the feasibility of the project , explore implementation approaches and challenges, networking with potential business partners) focusing on the market, customer and products. with the aim to create and improve value to PRefChem.
3) Development and Establishment of Market and Competitor Analysis
Conduct scanning, interpreting, assessment of strategic and emerging changes of internal and external business environment through development and establishment of periodical market research and analysis, as well as through syndications and consultation with stakeholders (i.e. Offtakers, key industry players, business institutions, government and authorities) covering market, customer, and product for PRefChem Management strategy formulation and decision making in order to react timely in avoiding strategic drift and to ensure maximization of value creation.
4) Product Compliance
Responsible to develop effective compliance and readiness plan for current and future PRefChem products by monitoring, analyzing existing and emerging product legislation, regulations and/or requirement, assess the impact towards our product position in the market and establish plan and strategy to avoid any business restriction or product liabilities due to non-compliance.
5) Product Design & Development
Responsible to plan and execute product development and improvement initiatives for identified products by conducting periodic analysis on product benefits and advantage whilst benchmarking with equivalent competitors to ensure relevancy and competitiveness of products in market for business sustainability.
6) Product Communication & Advocacy
Communicate and advice internal & external stakeholders (e.g. authority, trade associates, customers, public) on necessary product safety and technical information using appropriate channel and method of communication to meet relevant regulatory requirement, responds to inquiries and resolve product disputes.
7) Intragroup Business Growth and Value Management
Provide support to Section Head Business Development in managing intragroup (i.e. Refinery Company and Petrochemical Company) value management through assessment, development, establishment and monitoring of relevant systems, approach and activities to ensure minimization of value leakage and maximization of value creation of PRefChem.
8) Corporate Performance and Critical Initiatives
Provide support to Section Head Business Development in driving the development, establishment and improvement of business initiatives which have a mid and long-term impact through assessment of business risk and opportunities, proposal to management and assist or operationalization of the initiatives to seize value, improve and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of PRefChem performance (e.g. operation and management) in line with the company's strategic fit and long-term strategy.
