Key Accountabilities:
- Protect PSMB's interest in providing legal services/ advices in efficient and effective manner relating to perusal and vetting of legal documentations.
- Assist on preparation and vetting all corporate commercial contracts, agreements, MOU(s) and any other related documents thereto that carry legal impacts onto PSMB's business and operation.
- Provide legal advices to all PSMB's operational divisions and serve as a point of reference for all legal consultations within the organization. Also assist in resolving legal issues while ensuring compliance with all applicable legislations and guidelines.
- Conduct legal reviews/ researches on respective parties or legal issues includes but not limited to accessing online legal database, legal reference books or seeking legal opinions from external lawyers, depending on the complexity of the issues faced.
- Manage potential disputes and litigation matters by giving assistance and communication to the external lawyers, as well leading on the monitoring and management of lawyers to ensure the quality services meets PSMB's requirements/ budgets. Also, to give update(s) to the Management regarding the progress of litigations/ dispute settlements from time to time.
- Assist in implementing and managing an effective legal compliance within PSMB which shall include the performance of various general administrative duties and collaboration with other operational divisions or government departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Certification of Legal Practice (CLP), or its equivalent.
- Experience in handling complex legal matters, including commercial contracts, litigation, and regulatory compliance, would be an added advantage.
- At least 2 years of working experience in legal firms with exposure to various fields of law, i.e., Contracts Law, Companies Law, Land Law, Commercial Law, and Public Law.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (written and spoken).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Candidates must be willing to work at the HQ Office in Damansara Heights.
