Job Description

The Executive – Motor TPPD is responsible for managing and settling Third Party Property Damage (TPPD) motor claims within the assigned portfolio. This role ensures claims are investigated, assessed, and resolved accurately, promptly, and in compliance with policy terms and the minimum requirements set by Bank Negara Malaysia.

Working closely with customers, business partners, and internal stakeholders, the role focuses on conducting effective investigations, fair negotiations, and equitable settlements while ensuring timely and compliant claims handling.

The role also plays a key part in delivering service excellence aligned with the Etiqa brand, while supporting cost control, loss mitigation, and customer education on risk exposure. Through effective claims management and collaboration, the position contributes to regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end TPPD claims from notification to closure, including documentation review, evidence gathering, claim validation, system updates, and timely case management to ensure efficient resolution within TAT.
  • Assess claim validity and negotiate fair settlements within delegated authority to ensure prompt and equitable payouts, while balancing cost control and customer expectations.
  • Monitor high-value and complex claims, escalate cases exceeding authority limits, and ensure proper reserving and risk control to maintain financial exposure oversight.
  • Deliver claims service in line with Etiqa brand standards, ensuring professional customer interaction and consistent service quality.
  • Conduct loss investigations, including fraud detection analysis, data validation, and evidence review to identify recovery opportunities and mitigate claim leakage.
  • Control claims cost through reasonableness checks, adherence to guidelines, and proactive loss mitigation activities to improve overall profitability.
  • Educate customers on policy coverage, legal risks, and claims prevention to reduce avoidable losses and improve risk awareness.
  • Contribute to best practices by sharing case insights, participating in internal networks, and supporting standardisation of claims guidelines across teams.
  • Conduct fraud-related investigations by analysing information, comparing data sources, and identifying alternative solutions to protect company interests.
  • Manage complaints in collaboration with CMU / FMOS / Bank Negara Malaysia within SLA, ensuring professional handling and timely resolution.

Requirements

  • Possess a Degree in Insurance, Mechanical/Automotive, or related field, or a professional insurance qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in claims handling, preferably in motor insurance.

Work Location: Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

Employment type: Contract 12-Months (with potential continuation aligned to business priorities).
