OVERVIEW
- The Sourcing Executive is responsible for supporting the development and execution of sourcing initiatives, supplier selection, and vendor management for assigned categories.
- This role focuses on conducting market research and analysing spend data, managing supplier engagements, and supporting contract negotiations under the guidance of the Strategic Sourcing Team Lead and/or Procurement Manager / Assistant Manager
- This role ensures procurement activities meet business needs while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures. Acting as a bridge between stakeholders and suppliers.
Strategic Sourcing
- Prepare and perform RFQ/RFP end to end.
- Assist in the development and execution of sourcing strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct basic market research and supplier profiling to assess capability and competitiveness.
- Support spends analysis to identify opportunities for consolidation and cost savings.
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and risks, and prepare summaries for decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing activities meet operational needs.
Contract Management
- Support day-to-day negotiations for pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines under manager guidance.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contract documentation with input from Legal, Finance, and stakeholders.
- Maintain contract records, track renewal dates, and follow up on compliance requirements.
- Escalate unresolved supplier issues or risks to the Senior Executive/Manager.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with end-users teams to align on procurement requirements.
- Collect inputs from end-users to support supplier evaluation and selection processes.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide guidance to users on basic procurement procedures and compliance requirements.
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
- Assist in tracking supplier performance through KPIs and scorecards.
- Support supplier performance review meetings and follow up on agreed action items.
- Report routine supplier issues and escalate critical matters to the Manager.
General
- Maintain accurate procurement and costing records to support reporting and audits.
- Prepare routine reports on cost savings, compliance, and supplier performance.
- Assist in updating and revising SOPs/WIs for the Procurement Department as required.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
- Participate in innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sourcing effectiveness and value creation.
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by superiors from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
