POSITION SUMMARY
Assist the Head of Property in the smooth and efficient planning of the Property Division, oversee overall administrative matters for the Company and its subsidiaries, ensure compliance with Company policies and statutory regulations, liaise with local authorities and government agencies on construction and property-related matters, oversee day-to-day property management activities, and prepare property performance reports with recommendations for improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- To liaise with local authorities in regard to all statutory and latest regulations; liaison with government agencies and statutory bodies in relation to all construction/property related matters.
- To monitor project developments/progress.
- Manage property maintenance, renovations, and upgrades, applying engineering knowledge to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Supervise maintenance work done by Contractor/Handyman. Lead or oversee engineering-related project, such as upgrades or installations, ensure adherence to timelines, budget and quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize property systems, addressing energy efficiency, sustainability and technological advancements.
- Coordinate with various departments, contractors, vendors and expertise to ensure smooth execution of engineering-related tasks.
- Accompany the contractor to inspect the Air Cond services on all floors for MAA Group and its subsidiaries.
- Supervise the wear and tear of building equipment.
- Prepare reports on engineering activities, project progress and property performance, communicating findings and recommendations effectively.
- To assist the MAA and Melewar group and any one of its subsidiaries in any property related matters and special ad-hoc projects as and when requested by any department heads or Senior Officers within the Company
- To perform other duties assigned by the Head of Property of Management from time to time.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Diploma/degree in any field of equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year working experience in related field.
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge in Safety and Health.
- Organized, meticulous, independent, flexible & discreet.
- Able to multitask to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal), understanding of building codes, regulations and compliance standards related to property management.
- Willing to travel.
