Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

The role is responsible for developing, customizing, maintaining, and enhancing the Company's Salesforce platform to support business operations and digital transformation initiatives. The role works closely with business stakeholders, system analysts, and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions while ensuring system performance, security, and user adoption.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Salesforce applications, customizations, workflows, and integrations.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, flows, reports, and dashboards.
  • Develop custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and recommend system improvements.
  • Support integration of Salesforce with internal and external systems through APIs, middleware, and any third-party applications.
  • Perform system troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis to resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solution quality and reliability.
  • Manage Salesforce releases, deployments, and change requests in accordance with established governance processes.
  • Must be able to understand and contribute to Technical Design Document (TDD) and development standards.
  • Monitor system performance, data integrity, security settings, and compliance with Salesforce best practices.
  • Provide post deployment technical support.
  • Stay up-to-date on Salesforce platform enhancements, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I, or other relevant Salesforce certifications will be an added advantage.

Work Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Salesforce development, administration, or CRM system implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, Salesforce Flow, and Salesforce integrations.
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or project-based development environments is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture, data model, security, and governance.
  • Proficiency in Apex programming, Lightning development, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Strong understanding of system integration concepts, REST/SOAP web services, outbound message, platform events and middleware platforms.
  • Solid understanding of integration between Salesforce and SAP is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
