Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Execute and coordinate inbound shipping operations to achieve timely customs clearance, container delivery, and accurate system tracking for latex and porcelain former shipments.
  • Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Planning, Forwarding Agents, and internal stakeholders to manage shipment documentation, delivery schedules, operational exceptions, free-time compliance, and logistics cost control, including intercompany and local deliveries.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manage inbound shipment forecasting by reviewing and updating forecast files and coordinating PO ETAs with supplier shipment schedules.
  2. Verify and finalise all shipping documentation at least one day prior to vessel arrival.
  3. Assign and coordinate Forwarding Agents for incoming latex shipments based on approved allocations.
  4. Prepare and issue container and delivery documentation, including container lists, Notices of Arrival, tax invoices, and LOI/LOA.
  5. Coordinate customs clearance and eDO release by liaising with Forwarding Agents to meet regulatory requirements.
  6. Monitor vessel arrivals and shipment status, escalating delays or deviations to the Planner for replanning.
  7. Plan and oversee container delivery operations from port to factory and factory to depot, adhering to free-time limits.
  8. Track and control inbound container movements and system records in D365 and CMS against detention and free-time thresholds.
  9. Manage shipment exceptions and logistics cost control, including special cases, demurrage, detention, and storage charges.
  10. Execute intercompany, local delivery, and return documentation processes, including interco shipments, local tanker deliveries, credit notes, and GRN preparation.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field; fresh graduates may also be considered.
  2. 1 year experience in logistics, shipping, import operations, customs clearance, or container delivery is preferred.
  3. Knowledge of import shipping processes, vessel arrivals, port operations, and customs clearance requirements.
  4. Ability to prepare, verify, and manage shipping documentation, including NOA, tax invoices, LOI/LOA, intercompany documents, credit notes, and GRN.
  5. Experience in coordinating container movements from port to factory and depot, including delivery scheduling and monitoring free-time, detention, demurrage, and storage charges.
  6. Proficient in ERP and logistics monitoring systems (e.g., D365, Container Monitoring System) for accurate tracking of inbound containers, shipment status, and pump-out activities.
