About the Role
Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) is seeking a committed and experienced professional to join our HSSE & Sustainability Division as an Executive, Waste Specialist (HSE).
This role plays a critical part in ensuring waste management activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with environmental regulations. You will oversee waste handling from generation to final disposal while supporting PTP's sustainability and environmental stewardship goals
.Waste Management & Regulatory Complianc
- eOversee and coordinate waste disposal, recycling, and refuse collection activities
- .Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and waste handling regulations
- .Develop and implement safe disposal procedures for hazardous and non-hazardous waste
- .Monitor waste disposal systems and ensure regulatory adherence
.Sustainability & Environmental Monitorin
- gSupport waste reduction and recycling initiatives
- .Monitor pollution levels from disposal sites
- .Maintain statistical records and prepare environmental reports
- .Promote environmental awareness and responsible waste handling practices
.Vendor & Stakeholder Managemen
- tLiaise with waste collection vendors and contractors
- .Monitor vendor performance and service compliance
- .Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Internal Audit teams
- .Handle waste-related queries and continuous process improvement initiatives
.Governance & Information Securit
- yEnsure compliance with HSSE standards and company procedures
- .Support audit readiness and documentation compliance
- .Uphold IT and Information Security policies related to environmental records

Qualificatio
- nsDegree or Diploma in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fiel

Experie
- nceMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in waste management or environmental operatio
- ns.Supervisory experience (1–3 years) is an added advanta
- ge.Experience in industrial or port operations is preferr
