The Exp Manufacturing Technician at Honeywell Aerospace Malaysia Sdn Bhd will be responsible to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery issues to ensure high-quality output and minimal downtime. They set up equipment, perform quality checks, and analyze data to optimize production processes. They also support engineering teams in improving overall equipment efficiency in manufacturing processes of Avionics products. This role requires a skilled technician with a background in electrical systems, as well as experience in test equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Test equipment Troubleshooting and Resolving Manufacturing Test failures.
- Control of MFG processes of ATEs and maintain product quality standards.
- Execution of Preventive Maintenance for Testers (incl. Chambers) & Cables.
- Qualify New Equipment/NPI Testers and drive Tester Yield improvements.
- Proactively support or assist legacy Test Equipment Obsolescence upgrades.
- Strong collaboration with Engineering teams to enhance Tester's efficiency.
- Maintain spare inventory of Critical Testers healthy by repairs
Responsibilities
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics or related Engineering.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in Test equipment maintenance/repairs.
- Adequate skills of usage & maintenance of various Test equipment types.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IPC, COMPTIA A+) are added advantages.
- Technical knowledge about Electrical or Electronic Test systems.
- Familiar about Test Equipment diagnostics tools & troubleshooting.
- Failure Analysis to fix Test Equipment hardware issues independently.
- Adequate written/verbal communication for cross-functional teamwork.
- Willingness to work flexible hours or overtime as required based on demand.
- Physical ability to be able to lift and move the Equipment and tools as needed.
- Building strong relationships with engineering contacts and Operations teams
