Project Bunsen is a research initiative by OneForma by Centific, a global AI data platform with a community of over 1 million experts worldwide (oneforma.com). We're hiring experienced lab professionals in Penang for paid research sessions. You'll perform the lab work you do every day - titrations, pipetting, sample handling, clinical testing - while a point-of-view camera and a lightweight handheld gripper tool record your expert technique. Your work directly trains next-generation AI systems.
The basics:
- Pay: USD $28-53/hour, depending on professional experience
- Initial paid session: 2-3 hours, with the possibility of additional paid hours - no long-term obligation
- Location: Penang, Malaysia (onsite)
- Schedule: Flexible, incl. evenings and weekends - designed to fit alongside full-time employment

What you'll do:
- The bench work you've done for years - tasks such as titrations with a burette, pipetting, graduated cylinder measurements, test tube and beaker handling, clinical/biochem testing, and similar procedures - at your normal, expert pace
- Wear a head-mounted camera and a hand-tracking gripper - we pay to train you on this capture equipment (your lab expertise is why we want you)
- Procedures follow real protocols with safe substitute materials - it's your technique we're capturing, not the sample. All plastic equipment, no glass, no hazardous reagents.
Your recordings: they capture your hands, tools, and workspace from your point of view - used solely for AI research, never published as personal content.
Why it matters: very few people in the world have contributed expert technique to physical AI. This is early, foundational work and your years at the bench are exactly what it needs.
