Job Description

We are looking for an experienced External Source & Alliance Manager to lead the sourcing, evaluation, and commercialization of externally manufactured pharmaceutical products and contract services. This role works closely with internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and business partners to drive new product launches, strengthen strategic alliances, and ensure successful project execution from concept to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage external sourcing projects for new products and contract manufacturing services.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Technical Services, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Supply Chain, and Product Portfolio to ensure successful product development and commercialization.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic suppliers while ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and commercial competitiveness.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and contract finalization.
  • Drive supplier performance through regular business reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure timely regulatory submissions and product launches.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to support inventory planning, product availability, and cost optimization.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Conduct supplier audits and site visits to evaluate manufacturing capabilities and compliance standards.
  • Ensure all externally sourced products meet quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Support business growth through new product development initiatives, strategic sourcing, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Perform other business-related projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, Commercial Law, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in product development, technical services, manufacturing, business development, external sourcing, contract manufacturing, or commercial agreements.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, product development processes, and international quality standards.
  • Proven experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent project management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
