About The Role
As a CBRE Technical Engineer,you will be responsible for engineering operations and the direction oftechnicians, vendors, and subcontractors.
This job is part ofthe Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible forproviding support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment andsystems.
What You'll Do
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations,governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations andwork safety.
- Review work orders and resolve complex issues.
- Consult with clients to schedule preventivemaintenance and other downtime to minimize business interruption andinconvenience.
- Formulate and implement a preventivemaintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet orexceed their rated life.
- Inspect the work performed by staff members.
- Determine that work is complete, equipment isfully functional and client space is in prime working condition.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations,summoning additional assistance as needed.
- Have some knowledge of standard principles withlimited practical experience in applying them.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that areconsistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Impact the quality of own work.
- Work within standardized procedures andpractices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Exchange straightforward information, askquestions, and check for understanding.
What You'll Need
- General Education Degree (GED)required. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalentprofessional qualification, preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience ofat least 3 years required.
- Meet the physical requirementsof this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders,and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to use existingprocedures to solve standard problems.
- Experience with analyzinginformation and standard practices to make judgments.
- In-depth knowledge of MicrosoftOffice products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with astrong inquisitive mindset.
- Intermediate math skills.Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, andother financial-related calculations.
