Facilities Intern

Job Summary

Collins Aerospace Malaysia is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Intern to support the Facilities team in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our workplace. This internship offers hands-on exposure to facility operations, preventive maintenance, vendor coordination, workplace safety, and sustainability initiatives within a global aerospace organization.

What You'll Do

  • Support the daily operations of the Facilities department.
  • Assist in coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Monitor facility assets and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for facility-related services.
  • Support office space planning, workplace moves, and facility setup activities.
  • Assist in tracking facility work orders and service requests.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and report maintenance issues.
  • Support Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and workplace compliance initiatives.
  • Assist with inventory management for facility supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and workplace enhancement projects.
  • Perform administrative tasks, documentation, and reporting as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or bachelor's degree in:
  • Facilities Management
  • Building Services Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Built Environment
  • Construction Management
  • Property Management
  • Engineering Technology
  • or related discipline.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eager to learn and take initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of facility maintenance, building systems, or workplace safety.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or other facility-related software is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance concepts is a plus.
