Facilities Intern
Job Summary
Collins Aerospace Malaysia is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Intern to support the Facilities team in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our workplace. This internship offers hands-on exposure to facility operations, preventive maintenance, vendor coordination, workplace safety, and sustainability initiatives within a global aerospace organization.
What You'll Do
- Support the daily operations of the Facilities department.
- Assist in coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Monitor facility assets and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for facility-related services.
- Support office space planning, workplace moves, and facility setup activities.
- Assist in tracking facility work orders and service requests.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Support Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and workplace compliance initiatives.
- Assist with inventory management for facility supplies and equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement and workplace enhancement projects.
- Perform administrative tasks, documentation, and reporting as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or bachelor's degree in:
- Facilities Management
- Building Services Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Built Environment
- Construction Management
- Property Management
- Engineering Technology
- or related discipline.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eager to learn and take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of facility maintenance, building systems, or workplace safety.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or other facility-related software is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance concepts is a plus.
