Facilities Maintenance Engineer
Location: Sendayan TechValley, Seremban

Salary Range: RM3,500, negotiable based on experience
We are currently hiring for the position of Facilities Maintenance Engineer for an established manufacturing company based in Sendayan TechValley, Seremban.
The hiring company is involved in the manufacturing of chemicals and chemical products, with a focus on high-purity electronic materials and electronics specialty gases. Its products support industries such as semiconductor, LED, LCD, photovoltaic, and other advanced electronics manufacturing markets.
This role is suitable for candidates with experience in facilities maintenance, plant maintenance, utility systems, mechanical systems, equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and contractor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily inspection, monitoring, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of facility systems, plant equipment, utilities, and building systems.
- Support preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities to reduce equipment downtime and ensure smooth plant operations.
- Maintain facility-related systems such as mechanical systems, air-conditioning, compressed air, water supply, piping, pumps, ventilation, and other utility systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential breakdown risks, abnormalities, or maintenance issues.
- Respond promptly to facility breakdowns, urgent maintenance requests, and operational support needs.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for repair works, servicing, installation, testing, and maintenance activities.
- Support equipment installation, modification, testing, commissioning, and facility improvement projects.
- Maintain proper maintenance records, inspection checklists, service reports, repair records, and related documentation.
- Assist in preparing and updating maintenance schedules, service plans, spare part records, and technical reports.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company procedures, safety requirements, environmental standards, and manufacturing quality requirements.
- Support workplace safety, housekeeping, 5S practices, and proper control of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Work closely with production, engineering, safety, warehouse, and other departments to support operational requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve facility reliability, reduce breakdowns, and improve maintenance efficiency.
- Complete other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of working experience in facilities maintenance, plant maintenance, engineering maintenance, utilities maintenance, or related functions.
- Experience in the manufacturing, chemical, gas, electronic materials, semiconductor-related, or industrial environment will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems, utility systems, building facilities, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair coordination.
- Able to support both preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Able to read and understand basic technical drawings, equipment manuals, maintenance records, and engineering documentation.
- Good problem-solving, coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
- Able to work independently and coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Responsible, hands-on, and willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
