Role Description The Facilities Management Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for overseeing daily building and facility operations, including inspections, maintenance coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The specialist will monitor building systems and energy usage, manage service providers and contractors, and support planning for preventive and corrective maintenance. The role includes assisting with budgeting and cost control for facilities-related activities, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports on facility performance. The Facilities Management Specialist will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment that supports project and office operations.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Building Management and Facility Management (FM) to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure reliable building performance.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Building Maintenance and Energy Management to support preventive maintenance, optimize systems, and promote efficient resource usage.
  • Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to manage facility-related expenditures, monitor costs, and contribute to financial planning.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance applicable to building and facility operations.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Candidates should possess strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple tasks.
  • Candidates should ideally have a diploma or degree in facilities management, engineering, building services, or a related field, with prior experience in facilities or building management preferred.
