Major Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Lead and manage maintenance planning for plant facilities, including factory buildings, offices, warehouses, utilities, and all common areas.
- Lead and manage facilities upgrade and development projects, including building renovations, refurbishments, and other facility improvements.
- Plan and execute facility-related projects in line with operational priorities, ensuring proper cost control, timely completion, and compliance with safety and quality requirements.
- Work closely across functional teams and with external parties to ensure facility-related matters are well coordinated and support daily operational needs.
- Source, manage, and supervise external contractors and service providers.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, local authorities and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO certificates, DOSH, BOMBA, local council, and environmental regulations)
- Serve as the main contact person for all facility and building matters, ensuring issues are followed up promptly and resolved effectively to avoid operational disruptions.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure proper condition and functionality, adherence to best practices, and continuous improvement. Implement corrective actions to maintain high standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for maintenance activities, inspections, permits, and service contracts.
- Prepare and present regular reports on facility performance, key issues, and improvement plans to management.
- Undertaking any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior and/or Company.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Possess at least Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in facilities management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely across functional teams and with external parties.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a practical and solution-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to supervise team members effectively.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience in contractor and vendor management, including performance monitoring and compliance enforcement.
- Good understanding of workplace safety, health, and quality standards.
- Computer literate, proficient with Microsoft Office, other relevant software and application.
