Responsible for providing facilities support to the entire factory as well as management support to facilities engineers and electrical chargeman. Also responsible for the overall safety and security of the plant and its property by the following means of Protection, Surveillance, Training, Prevention and Enforcement of procedure and policies.
Key Job Accountabilities:
1) Talent Management
-Accountable to execute on Plexus Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
2) Project Planning & Monitoring
-To collaborate with the relevant parties to determine, oversee, manage and direct the scope and specification of project to be assigned by the Company from time to time in APAC.
-To closely monitor project plan with checkpoints and to assigned project is complete on time, at the expected quality and within the projected budget and in compliance with the internal and external regulations.
3) Stakeholder Management -External Parties
-To manage relationships and performance of the vendors/suppliers/contractors.
-To effectively manage or technically support the relevant process including but not limited to tender process, quotation, negotiation of contracts, to evaluate and manage the services provided by vendors/suppliers/contractors to ensure completion of the assigned projects.
4) Regulatory compliance
-To ensure all relevant permits and licenses are obtained from appropriate authorities by the vendors/suppliers/contractors.
-To ensure all vendors/suppliers/contractors have the relevant permits and licenses to carry out its roles and responsibilities to complete the assigned projects and to comply with all relevant laws including but not limited to building and safety codes or regulations.
5) Risk management
-To perform risk management and manage the potential risk to the project execution including but not limited to identifying and responding to the potential issues throughout the life of the project to minimize potential negative impacts
-To manage the unrealistic scheduling commitment and poor planning by the vendors/suppliers/contractors. To create contingency plans to address the relevant risks and to report the same to the management.
6) Mentoring and Guidance
-Provide functional guidance to site facility and security managers in accomplishing operational objectives
Education/Experience Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering cum certificate in project management.
-Industry Certifications: Certifications such as the Facility Management Manager (FMM) or Certified Construction Project Manager (CCPM) issued by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia add strong credibility.
-Technical & Legal Competency: A working knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems (HVAC, plumbing, and lifts) will be preferred.
