Job Purpose
The Electrical Lead Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the site's electrical systems and related facility utilities. The role also provides leadership and oversight for HVAC, exhaust, and cleanroom maintenance activities to ensure operational stability and compliance with company requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Systems
- Manage and maintain 132 kV and 11 kV substations
- Oversee maintenance of electrical rooms, Main Switchboards (MSB), and breakers including GIS, ACB, VCB, genset and all related to electrical system
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities
- Lead troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and restoration of electrical systems
- Use FMCS for monitoring, alarm review, and troubleshooting support
- Perform trend analysis / plot trending to identify abnormalities and prevent failures
- Prepare accurate maintenance reports, records, and technical documentation
HVAC, Exhaust, and Cleanroom Systems
- Oversee maintenance of HVAC systems, exhaust systems, and cleanroom facilities
- Manage the engineer responsible for these systems to ensure all activities are properly controlled, monitored, and completed.
- Support maintenance activities related to cleanroom management including HEPA filter integrity testing, calibration, and related works
- Ensure system reliability, compliance, and continuity of operation
Projects, Improvements, and Support
- Identify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, safety, and performance
- Support hook-up work inside production areas
- Provide technical support to project and engineering teams during installation, testing, commissioning, and modification works
- Manage and coordinate vendors and contractors to ensure work quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with company requirements
- Coordinate closely with production, maintenance, engineering, EHS, and external service providers
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable standards
- Support safe work practices, risk control, and equipment reliability at all times
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or facility systems
- Familiarity with FMCS, troubleshooting, and trend monitoring
- Strong knowledge of documentation, reporting, and maintenance record keeping
- Experience in managing vendors and contractors
- Experience in supervising or coordinating HVAC, exhaust systems, and cleanroom maintenance is an advantage
- Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills
