The impact you'll make
Manages facilities operation with cleanroom, planning, construction and maintenance of facilities equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
What You'll Do
Manages multiple suppliers and ensures their performance meets facilities operations requirements. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labour, including overtime. Responsible for facilities inspections and reports.
Conducts financial/business analysis including preparation of reports. Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labour for facility service and small projects. Prepares operating budget and variance reports. Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of cost centre coding.
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, and corrective action. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviours that are consistent with company values.
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with min 5 years of supervisory or facilities operation management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Facilities management experience with direct management responsibility for the performance of outsourced facility service providers. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong management and organizational skills.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
