Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager with a background in the semiconductor industry. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe daily operation of the plant. The position is responsible for factory infrastructure planning and construction, facility operations management, energy supply assurance, and safety management. The ideal candidate should be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-standard semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and construction management of new, expansion, and renovation projects to ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.
- Manage the full lifecycle of factory buildings, equipment, power systems, piping, wastewater treatment, and other infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Optimize energy consumption (water, electricity, gas) and promote energy-saving and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Supervise the compliant operation of environmental protection systems (e.g., exhaust gas, wastewater treatment) to ensure compliance with Malaysian and international environmental requirements.
- Manage external contractors, suppliers, and service providers; control procurement costs and ensure service quality.
- Ensure factory compliance with Malaysia's Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), environmental regulations (such as the Environmental Quality Act), building codes, and ISO standards.
- Lead factory safety audits and risk assessments; develop emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
- Collaborate across departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 810+ years of facilities management experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years of team management experience.
- Familiarity with Malaysian infrastructure regulations (e.g., CIDB standards), environmental requirements, and fire safety codes.
- Experience in new factory construction or large-scale renovation projects, with knowledge of tendering, construction, and acceptance processes.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Malay and Chinese is required.
