One of Remoly's valued clients, a well-established Chinese-invested FDI company in Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Factory Deputy Manager to oversee daily factory operations, support production management, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure quality, safety, and productivity targets are achieved.

Salary range: RM 9,000 - RM 14,000 per month
Working Time: Monday to Friday - 8AM to 5PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Integrate local Malaysian resources and establish/maintain sound working relationships with the labor department, environmental authority, tax authority, local government and other relevant agencies.
- Handle government approvals, permits, compliance inspections and other external affairs; monitor policy changes and help mitigate operational risks.
- Use Mandarin, Malay and English communication capability to bridge the Chinese management team and Malaysian local employees, ensuring management instructions and project requirements are implemented effectively.
- Assist the Plant Manager in cross-cultural team building and resolve communication barriers or cultural conflicts between Chinese and local employees.
- Support factory project implementation, including schedule tracking, local resource coordination, construction, equipment installation and production preparation.
- Assist in optimizing production processes, cost control and site management based on familiarity with the Malaysian manufacturing environment.
- Support daily factory management, annual/monthly work planning and departmental execution tracking.
- Handle local employee relations, labor disputes and emergencies, and support the stable operation of factory production.
- Assist with local adaptation and supervision of safety, environmental, food safety and related management systems.
- Provide regular updates to the Plant Manager on local policy developments, employee needs and operational issues, and support reporting to the group on factory operations and key project matters.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree or above. Food science, tea science, food engineering or related majors are preferred.
- At least 5 years of manufacturing management experience in Malaysia.
- Experience with Chinese-invested enterprises is preferred.
- Familiarity with production operations and local compliance requirements in food, chemical or manufacturing industries.
- Food-related industry experience is mandatory.
- Fluent in Chinese, Malay and English communication skills, with the ability to switch among the three languages in daily work.
