Job Description

Our Client:

We are partnering with a company that specializes in Precision Metal Manufacturing. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Factory Manager as part of their strategic growth.

Responsibility:

  • Lead the overall day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Oversee production planning and resource allocation to maximize equipment utilization and meet delivery commitments.
  • Monitor plant performance indicators and implement improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve turnaround time.
  • Manage plant assets, facilities, and capital investments to ensure long-term operational sustainability.
  • Ensure robust quality management systems are in place to meet customer and industry requirements.
  • Oversee new product introduction processes and ensure smooth production readiness.
  • Implement structured programs to minimize defects and improve product reliability.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Define and execute the plant's strategic direction in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Lead and develop the management team, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture.
  • Drive workforce capability building, succession planning, and performance management initiatives.
  • Create a collaborative and results-driven working environment focused on operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 1015 years of experience in manufacturing leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior plant management role.
  • Strong understanding of production management, quality systems, and supply chain operations.
  • Proven track record in driving operational improvements and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in managing large teams within a structured manufacturing environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and capital expenditure.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
