Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Factory Manager to lead and manage overall factory operations, ensuring optimal performance across production, engineering, maintenance, safety, and quality.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive operational efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production
- Oversee daily plant operations to achieve production targets and KPIs
- Plan and optimise production schedules, manpower, and resources
- Monitor operational efficiency and implement performance improvements
Leadership & Workforce Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of supervisors, technicians, and operators
- Build a strong safety-driven and performance-oriented culture
- Conduct training and capability development programs
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE regulations and company policies
- Lead safety initiatives, audits, and incident investigations
- Promote continuous safety awareness across all levels
Engineering & Maintenance
- Oversee plant maintenance strategy (preventive & corrective)
- Ensure high equipment uptime and reliability
- Manage technical projects and coordinate with contractors/vendors
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain product quality and ensure compliance with specifications
- Implement quality systems and continuous monitoring processes
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Supply Chain & Inventory
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to avoid disruptions
Continuous Improvement
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and process improvement initiatives
- Analyse operational data and KPIs to enhance productivity and reduce cost
- Lead cost-saving and efficiency improvement projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (JPA/MQA recognised) in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Minimum 10 years experience in production or manufacturing operations
- Strong exposure to operations, safety, quality, engineering, and maintenance systems
- Proven people leadership and decision‑making capability
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Knowledge of HSE compliance and regulatory standards
- Proficiency in MS Office, basic AutoCAD, and production systems
- Project management experience is an advantage
