Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Application Engineer role based in Penang, Malaysia. The Field Application Engineer will collaborate closely with customers to understand technical requirements and support solution integration at customer sites. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing pre- and post-sales technical support, conducting product demonstrations, and assisting in system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. The role involves working with internal engineering teams to translate customer feedback into product improvements and tailored configurations. The Field Application Engineer will also prepare technical documentation, support training for customers, and contribute to technical presentations and proposals.

Qualifications

• Strong Field Applications and Technical Support skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and provide effective on-site and remote assistance.
• Relevant technical degree or diploma (e.g., Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field).
• Hands-on experience with industrial automation, robotics, or inspection systems is highly advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work directly with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites within Malaysia and across the Asia Pacific region as required.
• Proficiency in English & Chinese; additional language skills relevant to the region are a plus.
