Role Description This full-time, on-site Field Application Engineer role is based in Bayan Lepas. The Field Application Engineer will provide technical support to customers, helping them understand and integrate Jabil's electronic and analog solutions into their applications. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with sales teams on customer requirements, preparing and delivering technical presentations, and offering design-in guidance for new and existing products. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating with internal engineering and manufacturing teams, and gathering customer feedback to influence product improvements. The Field Application Engineer will also maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies and industry trends to support informed customer consultations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in field applications and customer-facing technical support.
- Experience supporting sales activities with technical insight and solution recommendations.
- Strong knowledge of analog systems and circuits, and practical experience with electronics.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical field.
- Relevant experience in a similar engineering or application support role, preferably in manufacturing or EMS contexts.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bayan Lepas and occasionally travel to customer locations as needed.
