Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join
our team in supporting automation equipment at customer sites. This role involves
the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated
machinery, ensuring high-performance operation and customer satisfaction. The
ideal candidate should have a strong background in industrial automation and
control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform on-site installation, calibration, and commissioning of automation systems and equipment.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, actuators, drives, HMIs, and other automation components.
· Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
· Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers and resolve operational issues.
· Deliver technical training to customer operators and maintenance staff on equipment usage and safety.
· Collaborate with engineering, software, and production teams to improve system performance and reliability.
· Prepare accurate service reports, documentation, and feedback to the service manager.
· Support machine retrofits, upgrades, and process improvements.
· Adhere to companyand customer safety protocols and regulatory standards.
· Act as a technical liaison between the company and customers, maintaining professional and positive relationships.
Qualifications:
· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
· 2+ years of experience in a similar field service role within the automation industry.
· Hands-on experience with industrial automation systems (Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.).
· Strong understanding of PLC programming, electrical circuits, pneumatic systems, and control panels.
· Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethercat, Ethernet/IP, Modbus.
· Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
