We are partnering with a global advanced manufacturing technology company seeking an Associate Field Service Engineer to support customer operations across the United States and/or India.
This position plays a critical role in providing on-site technical support, equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, and customer training for highly automated industrial manufacturing equipment. The role offers excellent exposure to international projects, advanced automation technologies, and customer-facing engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up activities at customer sites.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment, electrical, mechanical, and process-related issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine servicing to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
- Support machine optimization and recommend improvements during commissioning and production ramp-up stages.
- Deliver operational and maintenance training to customer engineering and production teams.
- Assist customers in resolving technical issues and ensuring smooth production operations.
- Prepare service reports, technical documentation, and maintenance records.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering and technical teams to support customer requirements and issue resolution.
- Support customer acceptance testing and post-installation service activities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with up to 2 years of experience in industrial automation, manufacturing equipment, semiconductor equipment, electronics manufacturing, or related industries are welcome to apply.
- Basic knowledge of industrial automation systems, electrical components, sensors, PLCs, and motion control systems.
- Exposure to PLC programming and troubleshooting will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with servo drive configuration, machine commissioning, or equipment troubleshooting is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English in a customer-facing environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work at customer sites as required.
