The Field Service Engineer will focus on providing technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment including Identifying and correcting more complex problems associated with start-up. Researching, evaluating, and recommending new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs. Developing on-going relationships with customers to secure future business. The Field Service Engineer may resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems and/or train customers on the features of the equipment they have purchased.
How You'll Make An Impact
- You will perform field service operations with strong technical skills.
- You will deliver outstanding services remotely or on-site, including installation, maintenance, and repairs.
- You will exceed customer expectations by understanding and anticipating their needs, troubleshooting equipment failures and proactively preventing issues.
- You will identify and resolve electrical or mechanical problems with minimal assistance and develop potential sales and business opportunities through customer knowledge.
- You will suggest product and process improvements to enhance operations.
- You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
- A college or university degree in a technical field (electrical or mechanical engineering) is an asset. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
- More than 3 years in Substations, Power Quality/ FACTS Field Services (Problem Identification, Installation, Testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacements, upgrades and retrofit, end of life service etc.).
- Experience in Industrial Mechanic and Electrical/Substation.
- Hands-on experience with substation construction, high voltage equipment, and electrical testing.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and test equipment software.
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
