Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Field Service Representative based in Johor Baharu, with a mix of on-site customer visits and work from home for planning, reporting, and remote support. The Field Service Representative will install, monitor, and maintain water treatment and process management systems at customer facilities, ensuring consistent performance and compliance with operational and safety standards. Responsibilities include conducting site surveys, performing routine system checks, troubleshooting equipment or process issues, collecting and analyzing water samples, and implementing corrective actions. The role will also involve preparing service reports, maintaining accurate documentation, training customer personnel on safe and efficient system operation, and collaborating with sales and technical teams to identify service improvements and value-added opportunities. The Field Service Representative will be expected to travel within the region as needed and respond to customer service requests in a timely, professional manner.
Qualifications
- Technical knowledge and hands-on skills in water treatment systems, chemical dosing equipment, or industrial process systems.
- Ability to perform field diagnostics, troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues, and carry out routine preventative maintenance.
- Strong customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Solid organizational and time management skills, including planning site visits, prioritizing tasks, and completing accurate service documentation.
- Comfort with digital tools and data, including using mobile apps, monitoring platforms, and basic data analysis to inform service decisions.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work safely in industrial environments, adhere to EHS guidelines, and promote a strong safety culture at customer sites.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, hold a valid driver's license, and work flexible hours when required for customer needs.
- Previous field service experience in water treatment, manufacturing, or industrial services is an advantage.
